HotPot Studio, founded by Xiao in 2025, is a cozy art space located in the Bridgeport Art Center (1200 W 35th St, Chicago). We offer ceramics and jewelry workshops for small groups, along with custom design services and original art for sale. Visits are welcome by appointment.

Handbuilding Workshop

The Wheel Throwing Workshop allows you to create more symmetrical ceramic pieces. It’s more challenging than the Handbuilding Workshop, so we can only accommodate up to two guests at a time. The price includes clay, tools, instruction, underglaze used during the experience.

In the Handbuilding Workshop, you’ll spend 2 hours hand-pinching your own ceramic piece—whether it’s a cup, bowl, or vase—for yourself or as a gift for someone special. You’ll be working with clay the entire time in a relaxing, hands-on experience that’s both creative and enjoyable. The price includes clay, tools, instruction, underglaze used during the experience.
